Preparing for a Painting Project
Following a homeowner's checklist is essential to ensure a successful and hassle-free painting project.
By following a homeowners' checklist, you can have peace of mind knowing that you have considered all the important aspects of the painting project and are well-prepared to handle any challenges that may arise.
Here is a checklist of things that homeowner should do before K-Pro Painting™ arrives to start their painting project.
1) Determine the scope of the project(s)
Before you begin preparing for your painting project it is important to determine the scope of the project. Decide which rooms/areas of your home/property need the most attention.
Interior: If you are having your interior painted, clear the space that is in the way of painting. Have some areas or spaces of concern noted and brought up to the painting forman before the painting project starts.
Exterior: If the exterior is being painted, allow the home and areas that are being painted clear of any vegetation, obstacles, or anything that might interfere with painting. Clearing the space can allow the painters to finish the project faster than expected.
2) Move Furniture and Delicate, Fragile Items
Interior: K-Pro Painting will move furniture, but you can make a difference by moving any fragile items, furniture or decor items out of the room being painted. If you have larger items like couches, dressers, or beds, move them to the center of the room or out of the way of painting.
Exterior: If you are having your exterior painted, move any obstruction out of the way and allow the painters to have access around the areas being painted. If you are unable to move items, you can always ask our painters for assistance.
3) Close all Windows and Entry Ways When Pressure washing
Exterior: If your home's exterior is going to be pressure washed, make sure to have all windows and doors close before the pressure washing commences. K-Pro Painting will notify you when they will begin to pressure wash. Make sure to double-check that all windows and doors are shut to prevent any water from leaking.
4) Clear the Room
Interior: Clear the room of any clutter or items that may struck the painter's work. This includes removing any small items from shelves or other surfaces. Be sure to remove any high value items and fragile away from painting areas.
5) Notify K-Pro Painting of any special requirements
If you have any heavy items or items that you cannot move, notify K-Pro Painting™ before any project starts so the painters have an accurate timeline of how long the project will last.
By following this checklist, you can help ensure that your painting project goes smoothly and is completed to your satisfaction. K-Pro Painting is committed to providing high-quality penny services, and by working together, we can achieve a beautiful result for your home.
